Once content is shared externally, we cannot control its distribution. Users are responsible for content uploaded and shared.
5. Children, Parents & Guardians, and Third-Party Memory Pages
Protecting children and respecting the rights of all individuals is a core priority.
- The service is not directed to children under 16.
- Parents or legal guardians may create private Memory Pages for their children, including documenting sensitive situations (terminal illness or deceased children).
Third-party Memory Pages
Anyone creating a Memory Page for another person must be:
- A parent or legal guardian (for minors)
- A next of kin, or
- Otherwise legally authorised to act on behalf of the individual
By creating a Memory Page for another person, you confirm you have legal authority/consent.
Acknowledged Risks
- Content placed online carries inherent risks of unauthorised access or redistribution
- While we take reasonable security measures (secure servers, encryption, access controls), absolute security cannot be guaranteed
- You are solely responsible for content uploaded or shared
We may review, restrict, or remove content if privacy, safety, or dignity is at risk.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as:
- Your account is active
- Necessary for providing services
- Required by law
Information no longer needed is securely deleted or de-identified.
7. Security & Limitation of Liability
We implement reasonable safeguards:

However: No online system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute protection and are not liable for unauthorised access, leaks, or misuse of content beyond reasonable control.

- Not upload illegal, abusive, or infringing content
We reserve the right to remove content violating these rules.
12. Intellectual Property
- Users retain ownership of uploaded content.
- By creating a Memory Page, you grant A Life Worth Remembering a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and store content for service purposes.
13. Payments, Billing & Subscription
Subscription Service
- A Life Worth Remembering is a subscription-based service, billed monthly or yearly
- Payments are collected via credit card or other approved payment methods. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method for the subscription amount, including any applicable taxes
Recurring Billing
- Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
- We may update billing amounts with reasonable notice
Cancellation & Access
- You may cancel at any time via your account settings
- After cancellation, you retain access to your Memory Pages until the end of your current paid billing cycle
Refunds
- Refunds are not provided for partial periods, unless required by law
- Payment disputes should be directed to support@alifeworthremembering.com before filing with banks
Payment Security
- Payment information is handled securely using industry-standard practices
- Full credit card details are not stored on our servers
Failed Payments
- If a payment fails, your subscription may be suspended or terminated until the payment is resolved
- Users will be notified to update payment information
14. Security Disclaimer
While we implement industry-standard security measures, no platform can guarantee complete security. By using our service, you accept the inherent risks of online content sharing.
15. Changes to Policy & Terms
We may update this Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be on our website. By continuing to use the platform, you agree to the updated terms.
16. Subscription / Memory Page Creation Checkbox
All users must acknowledge the following before creating a Memory Page or registering an account:
